Welcome to the web site of the United Church of God, Houston North! Our pastor Jim Servidio and his wife Judy server the Houston North and Huntsville, Texas congregations. They have been serving Church of God congregations since their graduation from college in Texas in 1973. Their assignments have included churches in Oregon, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, and now Texas. They moved here to the Houston area after spending eight years in Maryland and 12 years in Minneapolis. They have two grown sons and two granddaughters, all residing in Texas. The Servidios are available by phone at 936-441-2802, or by email at JmServid@yahoo.com. Our congregation meets in Humble, Texas, and provides weekly services for those who desire to worship with us. We meet each Sabbath afternoon at 2:00 P.M. From these services we produce the material that you now find on our web site. As much as possible we are attempting to mirror the material from our services. You will find the text of sermons, sermonettes, classes and Bible studies, along with audio from our services. Everything we do is free of charge and we encourage you to take advantage of our offer. |
| The United Church of God, today active with congregations in more than 40 countries, began as a formal assembly in 1995. Doctrinal distinctives of the Church include the observance of a seventh-day Sabbath, a modern application of the ancient Hebrew Holy Day seasons (which Jesus also kept and which the Church believes are a literal representation of God's plan for humanity) and a firm belief that Jesus Christ will return to earth to institute a benevolent, world-encircling Kingdom of God.
